Environmental Impact Assessment report for KL-Singapore HSR project approved

The Department of Environment (DoE) had on April 2 approved the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (KL-SG HSR), marking another milestone for MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd in advancing the project towards obtaining the Railway Scheme approval.

We have a huge problem with plastic waste on this planet. Itís everywhere. Youíd have to be blind not to see it. Empty drink packets on the streets. Plastic bags and Styrofoam food packets in the park. Beaches that look like rubbish dumps, with waste strewn all over.

DATA collected during a clean-up of beaches in the country earlier this month revealed that most of the rubbish collected (2,700kg) was made from plastic. The items ranged from water bottles to plastic bags.
