“The award was received by Ms. Chik Lai Ping, Senior Vice President of Spa Village, YTL Hotels, Spa Division. She said “We are truly grateful for the recognition that Spa Village Pangkor Laut has received. This unique retreat extols the healing cultures of the region and Malaysia, with its diverse history of people and cultures, and a vast abundance of natural resources, provides the backdrop for health rituals that are drawn from the ancient wisdom of great civilisations and local lore.”

Since its official launch in 2002, Spa Village Pangkor Laut has received a number of global awards and recognition, putting Malaysia’s talent, history and culture on an international platform. With Chinese, Ayurvedic and Malay health rituals forming the foundations of many of the spa treatments, guests are invited to encounter a healing sanctuary that both rejuvenates and revitalises. Key to the experience is the The Bath House Ritual, a pre-treatment ritual which encompasses a specially designed series of secluded pools and pavilions that meander through a lush garden setting designed to relax the mind and body for the treatment to follow. This Bath House Ritual also epitomises the multi-cultural ethos of the spa, embodying Malay, Chinese, Ayurvedic and Japanese practices.

As the spa industry grows, Spa Village remains committed to contributing to Malaysian culture and heritage. As YTL Hotels’ very own proprietary spa brand, Spa Village has grown to 12 locations globally, including a flagship destination spa - Spa Village Resort Tembok, Bali. By preserving the healing traditions, Spa Village hands these age-old practices to the modern generation providing them with an essential connection. It is with a clear knowledge of the past that Malaysia can look to the future.
